About me
Specialising in Landscape Photography, Joshua McMillan’s images show off the beauty of the world they live in. Focusing on documenting different places around the South West of England, they love to play with perspective and give people a new, exciting view of the area they live in, or wish to go explore.
With an interest in local history and living in Cornwall for three years, they’ve had the opportunity to document and photograph hundreds of historic locations, whether that be old fishing villages, or old tin mines. Often staying up to get the perfect shot.
Joshua’s photographic journey started in 2018, after starting photography as a GCSE subject. When the pandemic hit in early 2020, Joshua dedicated most of their time to learning and broadening their skill set.
Since starting at Falmouth University in 2022, Joshua has continued to keep an open-minded approach to their work and skill sets. With the opportunity to learn and play with previously untouchable kit, Joshua quickly learned as many cameras as possible, finding a home in analogue film photography and even learning to take photos underwater, using specialised dive housings.
With a keen excitement to travel, Joshua’s journey is far from over. With aspirations to get up and travel around new places as well as rediscovering old favourites. .
